Eating Right Can Make You Feel Better

Does your back or shoulders hurt? Eating right and losing some weight can really help you to feel better in a hurry! Extra weight can add stress to your back and make a small back pain into a big pain.

I can attest to this. Before I started The Diet Solution Program, my back was really starting to hurt. Even just doing normal everyday bending was starting to hurt. That's when I said this has to stop! Rather than going to the doctor, who I knew was going to tell me I needed to lose a few pounds, I decided to take things into my own hands.

Let me tell you, my back feels a whole lot better! Once I lost the first 5 pounds, I could feel the difference. Now that I have lost over 15 pounds, I feel a lot younger and energetic. I feel great, and so does my back!
If you haven't had a chance, make sure to check out The Diet Solution Program. It really will help you feel better!

How is Your Plan Going?

It's been a busy few weeks. Our children are involved in fall sports, so there has been a lot of running around from one event to another. Sitting down and eating together has not been a regular occurrence. There has been a lot of off time meals.

A schedule like this, which many people have, can be a real killer for your waistline! Eating late, and grabbing fast food, can start to add on the pounds. There doesn't seem to be time to eat right or exercise. What's a person to do?

Keep in mind that you still need to eat healthy. If you know you are going to have a quick eat-out meal, make sure you eat healthy foods for your other meals. Also, try to find something that is good for you on the menu, or at least not as bad as some of the items are. Make the time to exercise too, even if it means getting up a little earlier in the morning. Your willpower really needs to be strong, so keep your goal in mind!

Making Your Exercise Fun

Is it possible to make exercise fun? Sure it is! First, make it something enjoyable. If you enjoy working out with a friend, then do that. It will give you time to catch up on each other's lives, plus it will make the time go by quicker. It won't even feel like you are exercising.

Maybe walking appeals to you. If so, then plan going to some different locations and observing the scenery. Once again, going with a friend can be a big help.

You might want to just exercise at home. Having an area to do some weight work or work out to an exercise video can be fun. It might be a place to be alone and gather your thoughts as you are working on losing weight and staying in shape.

No matter what you do, make sure you get some physical exercise. Eating the right foods and keeping your body in shape will make you feel great!

Holiday Weekend Coming Up!

This weekend is Labor Day, it usually marks the unofficial end of Summer. If you are like me, you will be going to some kind of picnic or parade. There will of course be many foods there to tempt you, so what do you do?

Try to find the healthy foods at the party. Look for a vegetable tray or a fruit tray and have some of that. It will be good for you, plus it will fill you up. If there are other snack there, you can take a little, but keep it to a small portion.

If the host is having a cookout, it's OK to have a burger or chicken sandwich, just don't overeat. You can treat yourself a little, but you don't want to go overboard! Take a smaller plate, if possible, so that you can't load it with a lot of food. This will help limit the portions that you take.

So enjoy yourself at the party! If you have been following The Diet Solution Plan, you know it's OK to do this once in a while. Have a good time, and get yourself back on your normal schedule on Tuesday.

Avoid These Foods to Jumpstart Your Plan

One thing that you can do to jumpstart your diet plan is to simply avoid foods that are white. These include pasta, sugar, white bread, and dairy products. The exceptions to this are cauliflower, chicken, fish and turkey.

Doing this will really help you to reach your goal. Just the fact of cutting out sugar and bread immediately started making my weight go down. Once you see your weight start to drop, you know you can then really do this! It is really both a psychological and physical boost.

So cut out the white colored foods for 14 days. You'll see immediate results, and be starting on your way to both looking good and feeling good!

Eat More Often

One thing that you don't want to do on any weight loss plan is to go hungry. If you do that, you are just going to sit down and overeat, which is not going to help. You want to eat more small meals each day, watching not only what you are eating, but the portion size too.

As I referred to in my last post, healthy snacks are allowed. So eat a good breakfast, have a mid-morning snack, lunch, a late afternoon snack, dinner, then a small a snack if needed. Just don't eat too close to bedtime!

By doing this, your body gets the nutrition it needs and is not wanting. So pay attention to your body, if your stomach is growling, you need to eat a little more, just make sure it's the right foods that you are eating!
